1) How big are the groups?

All groups are small with stated minimum or maximum size. The maximum size varies from 6 to 10 though it is usually 8.we feel that small group are not only socially more fun but also essential to preserve the integrity of the remoter place which we visit.

2) What will my traveling companions be like?

Many different kinds of people travel with us. They may be anything from 18 to 60 years old, of either sex, alone or with friend, experienced travellers or complete beginners, but you can be reasonably sure they will share an interest in travel and exploration and have a similar attitude of mind.

4) How do we travel?

On adventure trips the method of transport used can very greatly according to the terrain and can make a big difference to your overall comfort. In most areas we use our own expedition vehicles; in more rugged areas (e.g.safaris) we use other four-wheel-drive transport; indeed in some areas, where the roads stop, the only way to explore is on foot. At other times you may find yourself on rafts, canoes or whatever is best suited to the terrain: even elephants feature!

5) Where do we stay?

Our holidays are not really about accommodation in the same way as beach holidays are: for us, a hotel is a place to spend a night or two, which is not the focus of our trips. Most of our accommodations are based on Motorhome. Camping site is chosen, where possible, for its charm and local character. A-few-trips (jungle – safaris are obvious example) are based on tented camping or tourist complexes because of the area & activities. It all adds to the experience. When we do camp, we supply all necessary equipments of high standard which allow you to experience and enjoy the many attractions of nature in the luxury of a Motorhome, lots are in areas where roads exist and here, we can combine excitement with comforts.

6) Is a Motorhome adventure holiday for me?

The main thing to remember is that all our trips are for active, flexible-mind people who enjoy the unusual and the adventurous. For trips which have a specific emphasis on day walk some exertion will be needed, so you should be reasonably fit and sure that you enjoy the activity. On many trips there will be times when you'll have to cope with a temporary lack of civilized comforts such as a hot shower or ice in your drinks. If you simply can't cope with anything unexpected or unusual then we'd rather suggest you look elsewhere for your holidays: it is too precious a Time to waste on something that won't suit you.

7) What type of food we get?

Meal plans vary according to area and circumstances: for every trip, details of what Is Included are shown in the menu section of each trip. All you need is to take enough money to cover the cost of meals not included in the trip cost and of drinks and incidentals.

8) Your security?

On many of our holidays the areas are remote, the lifestyle is very different and events much less predictable than on a conventional holiday. Health, safety and operational standards-particularly of hotels and transport are often not up to Western levels. However good our organization is, we are at the mercy of the unexpected, and this type of trip can never be entirely cut-and-dried. If you are not prepared for this you should not travel with us. Because these are not ordinary package holidays, the itineraries are statements of intent rather than promises. Local weather, politics, transport (vehicle breakdown) or a host of other uncontrollable factors can mean a change in itinerary or means of transport. It is unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered, but if changes are necessary the leader will decide the best alternative, after consultation with the group. Where a delay or change does occur, we will do everything we can to minimize its effects, but we cannot be held responsible for the results of delays or changes outside our control. Finally, crime and other security risks exist in practically all countries, just as they do in Miami or London. Travelling in a group is a safeguard, but not a guarantee. Though we will take all reasonable care of you, we cannot do this adequately if you do not at all times take sensible precautions yourself.

9) Set itineraries?

On top of each itinerary we indicate a normal group size in the PAX section. If the group size drops below the minimum stated, we reserve the right either to cancel or to run the trip with minor, notifications or a small group surcharge.

10) Customize packages?

In many areas we can put together a special itinerary if you have a group of friends interested. For the same reason one should not treat these quotes at par with trips undertaken by conventional vehicles. There is an element of `` Novelty`` attached to these vehicles that makes a difference to it’s costing.

13) Food kitty management?

How a kitty is managed on the road can often be an area where discussions take place. How should it be organized? What should it pay for? We have written this quick guide with a few hints so if you are ever asked to run the kitty you will know how to approach it.

On many overland trips the food kitty is organized by one of the passengers. Kitty is only used for food and eating out and the occasional birthday present.
